Immigration verified
In his first speech, Rebello argued Australia "face[s] a population surge fuelled by a reckless immigration profile, one that no longer reflects the careful planning or national interest," and that "the desire to come to Australia, while admirable, should not be the sole qualification. It is the willingness to contribute to Australia that must be the true test." He warned poorly managed migration risks "rising social tensions, buckling infrastructure, divided communities," while describing a multicultural society as "a strength, not a strain" when migration is well managed.

In his first speech, Rebello said Australia should support the expansion of its domestic manufacturing sector in line with its strategic and comparative advantage, and stated he is a firm believer in diversifying import and export markets so the country does not rely on any single country. He also called for an environment that welcomes foreign investment in the national interest.
