On the Government's 2024 youth bail changes he said: "I think there should be changes to bail laws but it's really important we look at long-term answers like programs," adding on crime and domestic violence that "this is a social problem and I try not to look at it in a sensational, simplistic way" and "I think we need to look at what works and build from there to find solutions."

Voted NOE on the second reading of the Uranium Mining and Nuclear Facilities (Prohibitions) Repeal Bill 2025 in the NSW Legislative Council on 6 May 2026 — i.e. voted to keep NSW's 1986 ban on uranium mining and nuclear facilities. The bill nonetheless passed 21–19.
