Davies (Liberal MP), a member of the party's conservative faction, tabled a petition in the Legislative Assembly on 10 October 2023 (3,148 signatures) calling on the government to refer the proposed conversion-therapy legislation to a Joint Parliamentary Select Committee 'to ensure that the Government honours its Election Promises.'
