Recorded vote: in November 2022 (14th Assembly) Boothby voted against Labor's Anti-Discrimination Amendment Bill, which removed exemptions allowing religious schools to hire on the basis of faith. Stated position: as Attorney-General she introduced the Anti-Discrimination Amendment Bill 2025 reinstating an exception for religious schools to hire on the basis of faith and narrowing vilification provisions, saying the changes aimed to restore 'freedom of speech, especially for individuals and religious communities ... without allowing [or] condoning hate speech.'
