Robyn Jane Lambley was born on 26 January 1965 in Grafton, New South Wales, and moved to Alice Springs in 1993, where she headed the local hospital's Social Work Department and Aboriginal Liaison and Interpreting Service. She and her husband later opened the Mad Harry's retail store, and she served as a councillor and deputy mayor (2006–2007) of Alice Springs Town Council. Voluntary assisted dying verified

Independent member and Assembly Speaker Lambley opposes proceeding with voluntary assisted dying in the NT, saying 'I don't think we're ready. Maybe we'll never be ready in the Territory' and 'It will be a disaster... We just need to take it at our own pace,' citing difficulties educating remote Indigenous communities. Lambley (Independent, Araluen) has long pressed for stronger action on crime and alcohol in Central Australia: she moved (and was ejected from Parliament over) a bid for a non-partisan crime committee, saying 'we can either continue to go down the path that we're on... and see crime escalate... or we can do something different', and earlier advocated an emergency 8pm-6am youth curfew and reinstating 'personal and parental responsibility' laws.
