As NT Minister for Alcohol Policy, Edgington backed new nuisance public drinking laws (police powers to fine up to $925, issue seven-day Banned Drinker Orders and confiscate alcohol), saying they aim at 'making our public spaces and parks safer and cleaner for everyone' and will 'allow police to intervene earlier to ensure we stop this scourge in public places where alcohol is prohibited'. This is a stated position.

NT Minister for Health and Mental Health (Finocchiaro CLP government). Priorities include expanding Royal Darwin Hospital and buying private hospital beds to relieve pressure, welcoming 317 new junior doctors, nurses and midwives in 2025, and pressing the Commonwealth for a fairer funding share (NT at 31.8% vs national average). On Darwin Private Hospital he said 'if you are prepared to back the Territory, we are prepared to back you' and made restoring private maternity services a priority.
