Benjamin Robin Hood was born on 10 June 1980 and grew up on a farm south of Naracoorte, South Australia. Before entering parliament he was a director of the web and branding agency Hello Friday, and co-created the children's character George the Farmer, writing and performing its music and illustrating its picture books. Abortion & reproductive policy verified

Introduced the 2024 Termination of Pregnancy (Terminations and Live Births) Amendment Bill (defeated in the Legislative Council 10 votes to 9 in October 2024) and voted for it. Also voted in favour of Sarah Game's 2026 late-term abortion restriction bill in the Legislative Council on 17 June 2026, where it passed 10 votes to 9 before being defeated in the House of Assembly.

Voted for the third reading of the Summary Offences (Obstruction of Public Places) Amendment Bill 2023, which amended the obstruction offence in the Summary Offences Act 1953 (Legislative Council, 30 May 2023; Ayes 13, Noes 4).
