Stated position: During the 16 April 2013 Lower House debate on the Reproductive Health (Access to Terminations) Bill, Liberal MP Jacquie Petrusma spoke against the bill in favour of preserving unborn life, stating "An abortion is not the termination of just one life" and drawing on her own experience as a young unmarried pregnant nurse.
