Freedom of speech official record
In the Sustainable Forests (Timber) and Wildlife Amendment Bill 2013 debate (18 February 2014) she supported new restrictions on protest at timber harvesting and duck hunting sites while stating twice that the bill did not remove the right to protest and that 'I would not support any bill which purported to silence freedom of speech', distinguishing legitimate protest from violent or intimidatory conduct.

Her only recorded hunting-related votes are on the Sustainable Forests (Timber) and Wildlife Amendment Bill 2013, which restricted protest at duck hunting and timber harvesting sites: she voted for the bill and for clause 5, and was a teller against referring it to committee. In her second-reading speech she said the bill was 'not about entering the fray of the substantive merits of duck hunting or timber harvesting'.
Native forest logging official record
Voted for the Sustainable Forests (Timber) and Wildlife Amendment Bill 2013, an anti-protest bill covering both timber harvesting coupes and duck hunting (second reading 18 February 2014, Ayes 35, Noes 3, the three Greens opposing), and for clause 5 in committee (20 to 17). She was a teller for the noes against a motion to refer the bill to committee. In her speech she framed the bill as a public safety measure so that forestry operators and duck hunters could pursue lawful activities without disruption or intimidation, said twice that it did not remove anyone's right to protest and that she would not support any bill which purported to silence freedom of speech, and said the bill was 'not about entering the fray of the substantive merits of duck hunting or timber harvesting'. She described forestry as an important industry whose workers 'deserve to have their safety protected when they engage in their lawful commercial endeavours'.

Animal welfare official record
Defended jumps racing in a take-note debate on an anti-jumps-racing petition (15 October 2014), on heritage, tourism and regional-economy grounds. She cited safety improvements including jump redesign, schooling and trialling requirements, stricter horse qualification standards and more than $2 million over four years for jumps racing initiatives, including the redesign of jumps, funded from the unclaimed dividends pool rather than taxes, disclosed her own background in bloodstock accounting, and warned that a ban would harm regional communities.
