Immigration verified
Has publicly diverged from One Nation policy on mass deportation. In an April 2025 podcast interview reported by Guardian Australia he said of mass deportation: 'Look, it's just not a reality' and 'You're not going to see it in any western country. You can advocate for it all you like, but it won't happen.' He said that if assimilation is the goal 'we don't need to isolate those people, that are new Australians, from our communities', and that One Nation would 'not discriminate against people that are already Australian citizens', while still supporting party goals to abolish multiculturalism and deport 75,000 visa overstayers. As a state candidate he would not vote on federal migration law; recorded as a self-stated position.
Freedom of speech verified
At One Nation's Victorian campaign launch on 3 August 2026 he threatened to sue outlets publishing what he called 'blatant character assassination attempts' of candidates. The ABC, The Age and Guardian Australia were barred from that press conference.
Integrity & anti-corruption verified
Has described One Nation's use of inactive or 'ghost' candidates in seats it does not seriously contest. Quoted by Guardian Australia from a 2022 interview: 'The more lower house representatives you can sport, the more likely you are to pick up Senate votes', confirming when the host named the tactic, 'This is what I'm alluding to.' In 2025 he said the party still had 'a couple of seats that there isn't an active candidate' and that the tactic 'ultimately it does helps us achieve our our upper house bid'.
