Mansfield (Australian Greens, health spokesperson) introduced the Constitution Amendment (Abortion) Bill 2024 into the Legislative Council on 12 November 2024, which sought to entrench the Abortion Law Reform Act 2008 in the Victorian Constitution so it could only be altered by a three-fifths supermajority.
