Sabine Elisabeth Winton (née Fenn) was born on 24 April 1965 in Ober-Ramstadt, West Germany, to Hans and Sigrid Fenn. In 1973 her family moved from Dieburg to Fairy Meadow near Wollongong, New South Wales, and in 1975 they travelled across the Nullarbor Plain to settle in Yanchep, Western Australia, where she attended Wanneroo High School. She holds a primary teaching degree from Murdoch University and worked as a teacher for 27 years before entering politics. [source]
