Each entry is that person's own stated view, with its sources. The badge says what kind of source backs it — official record, own statement, news report or encyclopedia — which describes the evidence, not how much we believe it. Nothing is totalled or ranked; recorded votes are counted only to point to the member's record, where each is listed. See methodology.

Liberal MP for Berwick; elected Victorian Liberal leader in December 2024 after John Pesutto's defamation loss to Moira Deeming, serving as Opposition Leader until November 2025. He did not support the 2023 motion to oust Deeming and, on becoming leader, promoted Deeming allies (as The Age reported) and later elevated Deeming to a shadow assistant ministry. Drugs & law and order

Brad BattinLiberal · sitting news report

As Liberal leader (Dec 2024-Nov 2025), Battin championed a 'break bail, face jail' / 'you break bail, you go to jail' policy as the Liberal-National plan to toughen Victoria's bail system, framing it as a common-sense response to crime while saying youth crime needs a multi-layered approach: 'It can't be a one-solution-fits-all approach. We must give young offenders every chance to turn their lives around.' He earlier served as Shadow Minister for Police (2021-2022).

The question was 'That the words proposed to be omitted stand part of the question' (Legislative Assembly, 30 May 2024; Ayes 53, Noes 24; agreed to): a no vote favoured omitting them. It was a vote on the amendment, not on the bill.

First Nations & treaty

Brad BattinLiberal · sitting news report

As Leader of the Opposition, opposed the Statewide Treaty and pledged that a Liberal-Nationals government would introduce legislation to repeal the Treaty within its first 100 days, stating the Coalition did not believe Treaty was the best way to close the gap; proposed a standalone First Nations Victoria department instead.
