Parliamentary secretaries

No single minister’s portfolio title corresponds to these roles, so they are shown without a reporting line rather than guessed at.

Sources

Ben Carroll and Gabrielle Williams were sworn in as Premier and Deputy Premier at Government House on 28 July 2026 by Lieutenant-Governor James Angus. The cabinet was announced on 4 August 2026 (statement-premier-173) and the sixteen parliamentary secretaries on 7 August 2026 (statement-premier-174); no source confirming the commission ceremony date for the full ministry was found, so the date shown is the announcement date. Minister portfolio wording follows the Parliament of Victoria portfolios page; parliamentary-secretary wording follows the 7 August statement, because Parliament's parliamentary-secretary tab had not caught up with that announcement as of 11 August 2026. Reporting lines (reports_to / also_assists) are derived from portfolio-title correspondence within the sourced lists — e.g. the Parliamentary Secretary for Health is shown under the Minister for Health — and are not published as a hierarchy by the government. Anthony Cianflone (Community Safety) is shown without a portfolio parent because no minister's title corresponds; Dylan Wight's first title (Jobs and Industrial Relations) spans two ministers' portfolios, so he is shown without a parent, with his Racing and Major Events role cross-linked. The 7 August statement was reported as announcing sixteen parliamentary secretaries but fifteen names were retrieved from it; the count here follows the names actually retrieved. Names follow the roster spelling exactly (e.g. 'Mathew Hilakari', 'Chris Couzens') so the build can join by name.
